Dear ‘Weekly’…
I loved Jack’s and Ken’s thoughts on kale and Trump Politics! Thanks for sharing their perspectives.
Along a similar line: Remember your six-year-olds when they were beginning to assert opposition to parental authority? “I’m almost as smart as you and I can make my own decisions! I can think, you know…”
This level of development seems to pervade an arrested maturation in Mr. Trump’s person…and therefore his followers! Is there a hint to a grasp of WORLD dynamics among this ‘group’? Or a sincere wish for the ‘Common Good’?
OR does limelight-seeking point to a more self-interested view and NEED for… the POWER of “I’m right; you’re wrong”?
Democracy is HARD work. Have our current politicians missed Pre-school 101 in learning to NEGOTIATE?
Without the Give-and-Take of face to face PLAY, polls, numbers, (cyber) without this actual human dimension, may be the problem. The ‘Debate’ is a noble try.
Listen to each other and deliberate issues; gossip is pretty shallow.
