Webb school introduces new staff

Along with the eight new teachers who started at Town of Webb UFSD this year, were six staff members.

Dana Pashley is the new micro computer technician for the school. He is a 2000 graduate of Town of ebb chool, and earned his A.A.S degree in computer information systems from SUNY Cobleskill in 2002. He currently resides in Old Forge with his wife Jessica and their daughter Leigha.

Jessica Pashley is also new to the staff, having been hired as the school’s Account Clerk. Though many know her as Jessica Hansen, she and Dana were married on September 12.

She has a love and appreciation for the area having spent every Sunday and many summer months with her grandparents, the late Eleanor and Robert Hansen in Eagle Bay, since the day she was born.

She was born and raised in Steuben, NY where she resided as a youth with her father, Norman, a younger brother, Jonathan and younger sister, Jennifer.

She is a graduate of Holland Patent Central School. She received her associate’s degree from Morrisville State College and her bachelor’s degree in Business & Public Management from SUNY IT in Utica.

In 2008, she and Dana made Old Forge their home. In June 2010 they welcomed their daughter, Leigha, who also started school this year as a kindergartner.

“I love this area and I’m so excited for what my future here at Town of Webb UFSD holds,” Jessica said.

• Kelly Deis was appointed Library/Teacher Aide. Born and raised in Vermont, she moved to Old Forge with her family in May from Raleigh, NC, where she worked for the past 9 1/2 years in the Public Relations Department at WakeMed Health & Hospitals, a large hospital system.

Her husband, Mark, grew up in Old Forge and is a graduate of Town of Webb school.

They have a 4-year-old daughter, Harper, who currently attends Kinderwood.

Heidi Hitchcock is a new Teacher’s Aide at Town of Webb school.

Originally from Ilion, NY,  she moved to Old Forge in 2001.

She owned and operated Dan’s Big M in Eagle Bay with her late husband Dan Hitchcock until January of this year.

Her three daughters Addison, Courtney and Natalie are, respectively, second, first and kindergarten students enrolled at Town of Webb.
