Many activities are planned in October for those who enjoy the Senior Health Activities & Recreation Program (SHARP) at Niccolls Church in Old Forge.
On October 7, we will have a Craft and Hobby Day. All are invited to share their craftwork and hobbies with the group. Chair exercises will also be offered.
Anne Williams of ASW Associates will be our guest speaker on October 14th. Anne will discuss how to live better independent lives. We will also play the Corn-Hole game.
We’ll enjoy a Day at the Museum—a visit to the Town of Webb Historical Association’s Goodsell Museum—on October 21st. Participants are also welcome to bring their own antiques and heirlooms to our gathering at Niccolls and share a story about them with the other participants.
On October 28 we will take a tour of the new Old Forge Fitness Center on North Street.
SHARP is a free program offered to all independent senior citizens from Woodgate to Raquette Lake. We meet at Niccolls Memorial Church in Old Forge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday.
Lunch during our regular Wednesday sessions is provided by the Community Health & Wellness Fund (formerly the Town of Webb Health Center Fund). For more information, call or text (315) 225-7553, or email activitiescoordinator4seniors@yahoo.com. Check our Facebook page anytime for updates. Search: SHARP
