VIEW: Inaugural Adirondack Music Fest a sizable hit

VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, hosted a weekend of fun, food, art and music during its inaugural Adirondack Music Festival on Friday through Sunday, September 15 to 17th.

Dave Bennett and Memphis Speed Kings performed Friday and Skip Parsons Riverboat Jazz Band and the Danny Sinoff Quartet performed on Saturday, each playing before packed houses.P1310793*********A gospel service by Rev. Lawrence Bartel of Niccolls Memorial Church, accompanied by a local choir led by Rev. Dr. Shaun Whitehead, Associate Chaplain of St. Lawrence  University, was attended by a standing-room-only crowd.

A jazz brunch followed the service and included music by a quartet comprised of Dave Bennett, Sherrell McCants, Gabe Wallace, and Jim Moore, owner of the local Van Auken’s Inne, on drums.
