Town of Forestport breaks ground on Dutch Hill Ball Field Playground

The Town of Forestport broke ground on the new Dutch Hill Ball Field Playground located at 11809 Dutch Hill Road in Forestport on August 28, 2015. The project was funded by grants.

The town of Forestport would like to thank the funders of the playground, The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc., Gilbert and Ildiko Butler Family Foundation, Inc., Addison M. White Fund, Agnes W. Sweet Fund, Daniel C. Hayes Fund, Franklin J. Ely First Lake Foundation Fund, Gerald J. and Nancy E. Pierce Fund, and the Norman W. Pelletier Memorial Fund.

The playground equipment was purchased from Game Time and the town of Forestport would like to recognize Andre Bertrand, Game Time representative, for his assistance with the project.

The town of Forestport would also like to thank the Installation Contractor, D.B. Construction and Dennis Buttenschon for their dedication to the project.

There were many individuals who volunteered their time to help complete the project.

They include, Dave Neary, Kim Kratzenberg, TJ Entwistle, and Roger Hitzeroth. Their tireless work was greatly appreciated.

The town of Forestport would also like to extend a special thank you to Bill Gardner and the Town of Forestport Highway employees for going above and beyond their line of duty to assist with the project.

Lastly, the town of Forestport would like to thank the Forestport Athletic Association.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is being planned for the near future. Please stay tuned for more information.
