The Webb Property Owners Association (WPOA) will host a Meet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, September 1 at 7 p.m. the Park Avenue Building in Old Forge.
The event will offer Webb voters an opportunity to meet the candidates for races in the Town of Webb and Herkimer County prior to the Thursday, September 10 primary.
Seeking the Town of Webb Supervisor position are Robert A. Moore (Democrat) and H. Stuart deCamp (independent).
In the race for two council seats are George T. Hiltebrant (Democrat) and David Berkstresser (Democrat), and incumbent James B. Herron, Barbara Green, and Bill Brooker, all Republicans who will face off in the primary.
Running unopposed are Town Clerk Nanci T. Russell (R), Highway Superintendent Casey Crofut (R), and Tax Collector Kelly Hunkins (D).
Also running unopposed is incumbent Herkimer County Legislator Patrick E. Russell, a Republican.
Two candidates will take on incumbent Herkimer County Sheriff Christopher Farber for the Republican nod in the primary: former sheriff Daniel B. Reardon of Little Falls and former Frankfort police chief Jim Palumbo. Democrat Tim Klock will also be seeking the position.
