Webb Property Owners Assn. welcomes all to annual meeting on Saturday, August 8th

Webb Property Owners Association (WPOA) will be holding its annual meeting on Saturday, August 8, at 10 a.m. at Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church in Old Forge.

The meeting was scheduled for convenience, and WPOA’s officers and board of directors are inviting all interested community members to attend.

The Annual Meeting is an opportunity to have input into the future of WPOA and learn about the most recent developments in the association and in Herkimer County government.

Light refreshments will be served.

Guest speakers will be Herkimer County Legislator Patrick Russell and Chairman of the Legislature Jim Bono.

This is an opportunity to learn more about how our local representation is working for the Town of Webb residents and tax payers.

It also affords the opportunity to ask questions and offer suggestions.

WPOA officers will also be elected at this meeting. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.

There are positions available for anyone at least 18 years of age who would be interested in serving as Director on the WPOA Board.

WPOA is seeking individuals who will be energetic toward the organization and its mission.

“[We] look forward to meeting you and listening to your ideas,” said Jerry Rutherford, Secretary of WPOA.

WPOA previously hosted a monthly meeting on July 11 in Old Forge.

The group sponsored a ninety minute presentation about Assisted Living followed by a discussion and a question and answer period.

The local region is known to  have shortcomings regarding assisted living, and the session was intended to spur communication that would hopefully lead to improvement.
