Sixty-four members and guests of North Woods Lodge #849 F&AM met aboard Raquette Lake Navigation Company’s WW Durant on Thursday, June 18 for dinner, a cruise around Raquette Lake, and a presentation of Years of Service awards and Dedicated Service awards.

The three course dinner, prepared by executive chef Brother James Pohl, included prime rib, ahi tuna, salmon, chicken, sliced duck, or stuffed pork, salad, and dessert.

Following the meal, the evening’s program began.

Five-year certificates were presented to Br. Tory Dunn and Br. Theodore Riehle. WB John Wright, Jr., DSA of Clearwater, FL came the furthest to receive his 25-year certificate and pin.

Also receiving his 25-year certificate was Br. Robert V. Roach.

Brother M. Peter Paravati  received his 30-year certificate and W. Brother Donald DiOrio received his 40-year certificate.

2014 DSA recipient and Chaplain, Br. Thomas F. Smedley received his 50-year pin, apron, and certificate.

Brother Stuart A. Nelson received his 60-year certificate, pin and apron.

The evening ended when RW Andrew W. Getty, District Deputy Grand Master-2nd Oneida District presented Br. Dean H. Pohl—a 47-year Mason—the Dedicated Service Award for his work in the lodge.

Unable to attend were five-year brothers: Joseph Hansen, William R. Payne, Andrew C. Getty, and Charles L. Walley; ten-year brothers: Jon S. Brosemer and Richard S. Risley; 20-year brother W. Thomas J. Lindsey, and sixty-year brother, W. Raymond J. Gosnell.
