Celebration to honor memory of Tayler Schmid, raise depression awareness funds on July 23rd

The Schmid family of Old Forge invites all to share in the Tayler Schmid Birthday/Eskimo Strong Celebration Benefit on Thursday, July 23 from 4 to 10 p.m. at McCauley Mountain.

The family-friendly event will include food, beverages, raffles and children’s games and activities.

There will also be a Riggies Cook-Off and a Lantern Release. Eskimo Strong t-shirts and bracelets will be available for sale on-site.

Live music will be provided by Paul Case, Jim and Gwen Tracy, John Kelsey & Brian Mulkerne, Joe Bolton, and Chloe Barkauskas.

Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under the age of 15, $30 per couple, or $50 per family.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (315) 369-6482 or 369-8491, or will be available at the door the day of the event.

Any business or individual who would like to donate an item for raffle may drop it at the Town of Webb Visitor Information Center.

Proceeds of the event will benefit Families for Depression Awareness.

The celebration will honor the memory of Tayler Schmid on his 18th birthday. Tayler, a junior at Town of Webb School, passed away on November 26, 2014.
