St. Bartholomew’s Food Pantry begins new program year

The St. Bartholomew’s Food Pantry will be starting a new program year in July with the recertification of all clients.

The procedures started over the past few months have brought the Pantry into compliance with the New York State Health Department and the Food Bank of Central New York.

The needs in the community are continuing to grow as new families move into the area.  The area served follows the Route 28 corridor from Otter Lake to Raquette Lake.

However, there are families from out of the area that are accommodated until help can be found closer to their homes.

Information is also available on State and Federal assistance programs such as WIC, SNAP, HEAP, etc.

So far, the Pantry has been fortunate enough to have the support of parishioners, residents, and visitors, as well as local businesses.

Sometimes it takes just a little help for people to get back on their feet and that is what we are there for.

The Pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. If an individual or a family has an emergency during off hours they are welcome to call (315) 369-3554 and we will do our best to help.
