Old Forge Library Gazebo Bluegrass artist to perform on June 26

The Old Forge Library invites all to enjoy live music  on the library grounds on Friday, June 26 featuring musician Nick Piccininni, a master of the 5-string banjo.

The performance is part of the library’s “Meet Me at the Library Gazebo at 5” series and will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.

Piccininni will sing many of his own original songs while playing on the acoustic guitar.

A self-taught violinist, he learned to play bluegrass at festivals and joining in picking circles.

He has traveled the bluegrass circuit since the age of 13 and toured with The Abrams Brothers, The Atkinsons, The Delaneys, and Floodwood, among others.

All are invited to bring a blanket or folding chair and enjoy the free open-air concert.  It is funded in part by New York State Council on the Arts: the Presenting Program.

The gazebo performances will be held the last Friday of the month throughout the summer at the library.

Also performing in the gazebo this summer will be Cincinnati Creek Band, and Dan Vellone and Doug Green.
