The First Friday Art Walk in Old Forge on July 3 will feature seven venues for art lovers to shop, eat, listen to music, meet artists and view demonstrations from 5 to 8 p.m.
The venues are: Gallery 3040, The Starving Artist Gallery, 5 Corners Café, the Old Forge Library, The Goodsell Museum, The Lights Are On Design Studio, and Sisters Bistro.
Gallery 3040, 3040 Main St., welcomes renowned local artist, David “RC” Oster.
Oster specializes in free-hand ink and graphite drawings of regional landmarks and Adirondack scenes.
The precision of his draftsmanship and his natural ability are hallmarks of his work, which has come to be sought out by collectors and appreciators throughout New York state and beyond.
His work is always on display at Gallery 3040, as well as the Woods Inn in Inlet, and can also be seen at many regional art festivals.
The Starving Artists Gallery, 3071 Main Street, will feature a guest artist. Enjoy refreshments as you view the handcrafted work of area artists.
5 Corners Café, 3067 Main St., stop by and meet award-winning local artist Rob Imundo and view his oil paintings on display.
The Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd., will host an opening reception for the Art and Soul Watercolor Group Exhibit which will be on display beginning July 1.
The artists ensemble was formed in 1997 by a group of like-minded women from the Baldwinsville and the CNY area who wanted to share their love of art and watercolor with others.
The purpose was to share educational support and inspiration with one another without the formality of the art guild setting.
Enjoy light refreshments as you have an opportunity to meet the artists and view their work. Live music will be provided by Dan Vellone.
The Goodsell Museum, 2993 Main St., invites all to meet award-winning wildlife photographer and author, Susan Kiesel. Kiesel’s work is featured in an exhibit, Wild Wings which is currently on display at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge.
The Lights Are On Design Studio, 3003 Main St. Resident jewelry artist/owner Ken Thibado will host an Open House and invites all to stop by to chat, see his original design work and enjoy refreshments.
Sisters Bistro, 3046 Main St., will feature live music.
