Thunder in Old Forge motorcycle event returns June 3-5

Thunder In Old Forge, an annual motorcycle rally and expo, will return to the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street for its 15th year on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday June 3, 4, and 5.

Doors will be open to the event from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Among the vendors will be Harley-Davidson. A beer garden and BBQ will be provided by Adirondack Café. Live music wiil be provided by the Paul Case Band on Friday, Doug Green & Mallory Road on Saturday, and Fritz Henry on Sunday.

Guided bike tours will be offered as well as a best bike conteston Saturday.

On Sunday, the Blessing of the Bikes at noon will be followed by the bike parade down Main Street. At 1 p.m. a tattoo contest will be held at the pavilion.

There will be a party shuttle bus on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 7 p.m.

The bus will provide a safe ride for Thunder visitors to and from the following locations: Red Dog Tavern, North Woods Inn, Daiker’s Inn, Water’s Edge Inn, Slickers, TOW Bar Inn, Tony Harper’s Pizza & Clam Shack, Blue Spruce Motel, 19th Green Motel, and the Country Club Motel.

Admission for the weekend is $5.
