The 3rd Annual All-You-Can-Eat Chicken Riggie Dinner to benefit the Alyssa Carol Hansen Scholarship/Memorial Fund will be held Monday, June 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Seymour’s Diner, Route 233, Westmoreland.
Alyssa, the daughter of Bob and Chris Hansen of Westmoreland, and the granddaughter of Jon and Carol Hansen of Thendara, passed away in 2007.
All of the proceeds from the dinner will go toward a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior with Individual Education Program (IEP) special needs who demonstrates perseverance, integrity, good behavior and a good attitude toward achieving his or her personal daily living skills and academic goals.
The Memorial Fund is set up to assist in obtaining additional educational materials for families in the Westmoreland School District.
