Open Mic Night for writers planned at Old Forge Library, May 20

Writers, aspiring writers, songwriters and members of the public are invited to share their own work, or to just come and listen to others, at an Open Mic Night at the Old Forge Library on Wednesday, May 20.

Featured reader and emcee will be Cheryl Pula. A native of New York Mills, Pula is a retired reference librarian, lecturer and history buff.

She is the author of six novels in The 8th Air Force Series, and several historical nonfiction books.

Members of the public are welcome to share their own work or to come and enjoy readings by others.

The program, in a coffee house setting, is part of the library’s Open Mic for Writers series which is held to inspire writers and create opportunities for regional writers to meet.

The program is co-sponsored by Adirondack Center for Writing.

If you plan on participating, call the Library at (315) 369-6008 in advance if possible, but walk-ins are always welcome. An additional Open Mic Night is planned for the summer.
