The Central Adirondack Association will host the annual motorcycle gathering, Thunder in Old Forge, on Friday and Saturday, May 29 and 30. The motorcycle rendezvous event has become a tradition for bikers to experience a scenic ride through the Adirondacks while area restaurants and other area establishments offer specials, food, beverages and entertainment.
To kick off the event on Friday, Doug Green and friends will perform live music at Point Park in the center of town from 5 to 8 p.m.
Rhythm and blues band, The Swamp Drivers, will perform at the same venue on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m.
MAC’s Safe Ride will be available to provide transportation from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. both nights.
The CAA is encouraging local businesses to participate by providing activities throughout the weekend.
