The 5th and 6th grade students at Inlet Common School participated in a Science Fair on Monday, March 16.
The students researched a topic of their choice for the last several weeks and used the Scientific Method to complete their projects. The projects included topics such as: Which liquid makes bubbles last longer? What makes ice melt faster: salt, sugar or dirt? Which chocolate melts the fastest?
“The students were guided through the process step by step but it was their hard work and creativity that made the fair fun, interesting and successful,” said teacher Kristie Lawrence.
The students were graded by three teachers in determining the following winners: 1st – Maria Lutz; 2nd – Rachelle Manzi; and 3rd – Olivia Payne. Receiving Honorable Mentions were Alexis Heath and Amanda Huber.
