Services planned for Virginia Milton, 84

Virginia “Ginny” Milton, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville, N.Y.

Virginia was born on April 15, 1930 and was raised in Old Forge, NY before moving to White Plains, NY. She then moved to Bergenfield, NJ, where she and her husband raised their three children. 

Virginia was an active member of Old South Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon and later on an elder.

After the passing of her husband on April 4, 1999, she and her youngest son Tom moved back to Old Forge, a place the entire family had spent many vacations.

Virginia is survived by her three grandchildren: Samantha, Kyle, and Thomas Lindsay.

Virginia is predeceased by her three children, Robert “Bob”, Jocelyn, and Tom Milton and her husband Andrew “Bob” Milton.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She was a strong woman, known as “one tough cookie.”

She absolutely loved being involved with activities at Niccoll’s Memorial Presbyterian Church. She held everyone very close to her heart and will be greatly missed.

Her funeral will be Monday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at Niccoll’s Memorial Presbyterian Church in Old Forge.

Spring Internment will be in Old South Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Bergenfield, NJ.

Calling hours will be Monday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams, & Edmunds Funeral Home, 128 Fern Ave, Old Forge.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ginny’s memory to Niccoll’s Memorial Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 605, Old Forge, NY 13420. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
