Winners of the Old Forge Library’s Sweetheart Dessert Contest were announced during a post-judging public reception on Tuesday, February 10.
Ricky LaPorte won the Masters Division with his White Chocolate Coffee Mousse Dome.
There was a tie in both the Youth/Student and the Adult divisions.
Youth winner SaraBelle Helmes, Library Director Izzie Worthen, and Mary Denn.
In the Youth Student division, first place honors were shared by SaraBelle Helmes for Love is Dangerous, an almond sugar cookie with raspberry filling decorated with chocolate cherry mice; and Addison Hitchcock for Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes with chocolate chips and cherry frosting.
In the Adult division, sharing the win were Kathy Senf’s French Chocolate and Almond Cake, and Katie and Naomi Kelly’s Red Velvet Cheesecake Bites.
There were no entries in the Teen Student division.
Attendees had the opportunity to sample the entries following the distribution of prizes.
