Webb Police Dept. reports activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following report of recent law enforcement activity.

A 44-year-old Getzville, NY man was arrested on Saturday, January 24 at 1:58 a.m. for a number of snowmobile infractions. 

According to the report, Town of Webb Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a snowmobile for illegally operating on a town sidewalk.

The snowmobile failed to stop, leading police on a short pursuit and foot chase.

The investigation resulted in the operator of the snowmobile being issued tickets for the following charges: Operating on town sidewalk, operating on State highway, crossing highway at more than 90 degrees, failure to comply, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, reckless operation, failure to stop at a stop sign, speed in excess of 20 mph (two counts), and failure to keep right (two counts).

The man was arraigned before Hon. Patrick Venetz and pleaded guilty to all charges.
