I never paid much attention to
my age.
The kids were my concern
With four birthday parties every year
They each got their turn.
NOW
Every one is a grandparent.
They put their age on hold
Finally, it dawned on me
Oops! I’m getting old.
But age isn’t the issue
It’s the physical mobility and
a brain that is still working.
It’s the goal I set for me.
