The Friends of the Old Forge Library, like so many long standing groups, needs a little more support from folks who recognize the value of the Old Forge Library and the services provided.
The Friends exist to support and promote the library programs by providing both financial and volunteer support.
The next event sponsored by the Friends is the Sweetheart Baking Contest, a fun and flavorful program that brings bakers of all ages and experience together to show off a favorite treat.
Winners or not, the community is invited to taste after the judges make their selection.
This is followed by the annual poetry and illustration contest.
If you are interested in supporting the programs and events, then come join us at the annual winter luncheon at Walts’s Diner, Monday, January 12 at 11:45 a.m.
Please call (315) 369-6008 or visit the library to reserve a spot and pre-order your soup and sandwich choice.
The $14 fee includes soup, sandwich, dessert, beverage and gratuity.
Join the Friends, the staff of the Library, and many of our library patrons and consider becoming a member of the group or volunteering to assist at an upcoming event or program.
