Haley Josephson of Old Forge is currently training as a home health aide with the Home Aide Service of the Central Adirondacks, Inc. (HASCA), a not-for-profit home care agency that operates from the Town of Webb Health Center.
Once her training is complete she will join the staff of New York state certified aides who presently provide service to the area.
Since 1979, HASCA’s certified aides have provided compassionate personal care, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparations, and other services to the elderly, disabled veterans, and chronically or terminally ill clients from Forestport to Raquette Lake.
In addition to enhancing the quality of life of homebound clients, HASCA also provides respite services for the caregivers of these individuals.
HASCA’s annual fund drive is in progress. Anyone wishing to make a tax-deductible donation over the holidays can do so by sending a check to: HASCA, P.O. Box 25, Old Forge, NY 13420.
For more information on the services provided by HASCA, contact Director Roberta Konecny at (315) 369-6183 or stop in at the Health Center on South Shore Road in Old Forge.
