Kiwanis recognizes Students of Month

At a special Recognition Dinner, held at Covey-Pashley American Legion Post in Old Forge, on Monday, November 24, The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks honored Students of the Month for October and November.

Carmen Mastroianni, Kiwanis Student of the Month co-chairman introduced October  Student Melissa Murphy, daughter of Donald and Lisa Murphy of Old Forge; and November Student Briana Brownsell, daughter of Tim and Jill Brownsell of Inlet.

Each were presented with Student of the Month certificates and checks for $50 in recognition of their achievement.

They also presented a brief outline of their activities and future plans.

Ray Schoeberlein and Mastroianni, co-chairmen, thanked the school administration, especially School Counselor Kandis Griffin and Key Club Advisor Diane Amos, for their cooperation and efforts to make the Student of the Month program a success.

Mike Griffin, Kiwanis Club President congratulated the students and thanked them for their dedication to school and community activities.
