Sue Ann Lorenz-Wallace, artistic director and Linda Lorenz LaDue, associate artistic director of The Old Forge Ballet Company announce that casting is nearly completed for the Company’s annual Nutcracker ballet.
The performance in Old Forge will be on Saturday, December 6 at 7 p.m. at the Strand Theatre.
There is also the possibility of other venues in the North Country this year.
Company dancers welcome performers from the Adir-ondack community to complete the cast of Tchaikovsky’s two-act ballet Casse-Noisette (Nutcracker).
Adults and teenage male performers are needed for Act 1, the Party Scene. Boys ages six years and older are needed for the Act 1 Battle Scene. Rehearsals are required.
Community members interested in helping backstage and in pre-performance preparation are welcome.
Costume construction and alterations, technical support, stage manager, stage hands, set-up and striking, hair and makeup and dressing room assistance is always needed.
