The final Old Forge First Friday Art Walk of the season will feature a variety of venues for art lovers to shop, eat, listen to music, meet artists and view demonstrations from 5 to 8 p.m., unless otherwise noted below.
First Friday Art Walks include a raffle for a unique item each month. To enter, a participant can pick up a card at any First Friday location and have it stamped.
The card can be dropped off or carried to other First Friday locations for stamping.
Among the participants are:
Dragonfly Cottage, 2987 Main St. – Featuring a Spooky Photo Booth. The suggested $5 fee will be donated to the local church food pantry. Pictures will be emailed directly to participants.
Gallery 3040, 3040 Main St. – Wine Reception from 3 to 6 p.m. for featured artist Mel Taber, hand carver of burl dishes, serving trays and more. Live music by Bonnie and Jim Tracy
5 Corners Café, 3067 Main St. – Featuring an exhibit of beautiful abstract paintings by Karra Detrick
Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd. – Opening reception for artist Loretta Lepkowski’s exhibit, Celebrating Family Farms of the Tug Hill Region.
Sisters Bistro, 3046 Main St. – Live music performed by Charlie Orlando
The Starving Artist Gallery, 3071 Main St. – View the handcrafted work of a number of area artists.
VIEW, the arts center, 3273 State Rte. 28 – Stop by and view the 33rd annual Adirondacks Exhibition of American Watercolors featuring 90 works from over 70 artists from across the United States and Canada. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Show closes on Sunday, October 5th.
