Grace W. Flock, 79, of New Hartford died September 26, 2014 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare.
She was born April 14, 1935 in Manhattan, daughter of the late Howard and Grace Gamble Quimby, and attended the Emma Willard School. She married Gilbert C. Flock in 1962 in Big Moose, NY. He died in 1991.
Grace was retired from UFA.
She was a member of Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church in Old Forge.
She also volunteered many hours, for which she received recognition for her service, at Hope House in Utica.
Grace particularly enjoyed the time she spent in the Adirondacks at Big Moose Lake.
She is survived by her son Gibs Flock and wife Candy of E. Syracuse and their children Geoffrey and Adam Flock; her son Greg Flock of Kirkville, NY; a brother Howard Quimby of Big Moose; her nephews Bill Quimby of Watertown, Peter Quimby of Byfield, MA and Michael Quimby of Beamus Point, NY.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Jeni Flock in March of 2014.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, South St., Westmoreland.
A Memorial Service will be held on November 15, 2014 at a time to be announced at the Nicolls Memorial Presbyterian Church in Old Forge. There are no calling hours.
