Primary elections will be held across the country on Tuesday, September 9, including the Town of Webb where three candidates will vie for the Republican nod for Town Webb Justice.
The candidates are Patrick J. Venetz, Anthony Tormey, and sitting Town Justice James Miller. According to Herkimer County Board of Elections, each of the candidates has also filed independent petitions and regardless of the primary outcome, will be on the ballot in the November 4 general election.
On the ballot for the Democratic race for the 49th State Senate seat are Madelyn Thorne (D – Glenville) and Patti Southworth (D – Ballston).
With current Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy retiring at the end of 2014, Kathy Hochul and Tim Wu will be seeking the Democratic nomination.
And in the Democratic Gubernatorial race, incumbent Andrew Cuomo will face Randy Credico and Zephyr Teachout.
Voters in Town of Webb District 1 will cast their votes at the Park Avenue Building in Old Forge, and those in District 2 will vote at the Eagle Bay Fire Hall. The polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m.
