Ad’k National Exhibition of American Watercolors opening on August 8th

The 33rd annual Adirondacks Exhibition of American Watercolors at VIEW will open Friday, August 8, featuring the work of over 70 artists who come from all across the continental United States and Canada.

An opening reception, free of charge and open to the public will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. and will include live music and hors d’oeuvres.

The Juror of Selection for this year’s show is William Vrscak, AWS, a free-lance artist/illustrator, instructor and signature member of the American Watercolor Society, Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators.

A frequent national ward winner, his work is widely ublished, and has been ncluded in Painting with Passion, atercolor Artist Magazine, International Artist Magazine, and rint’s Design Annual.

His aintings reside in many corporate and private collections throughout the world.

The Juror of Awards is Judi Betts AWS, NWS. Betts has attained n international reputation for her ransparent watercolor paintings.

Her paintings have won over 100 awards in major competitions and have appeared on national TV, wine abels, CDs, DVDs and in over 35 books.

She is a signature member f the American and National Watercolor Societies, holds memberships in both the National and Salmagundi Art Clubs in New York City, and is listed in Who’s Who in American Art.

Her paintings are included in corporate, university, museum and private collections throughout the world.

The watercolor exhibition will be on display through October 5th.
