North Country Friends of the 2nd Amendment is holding an informational meeting on the NY SAFE ACT and other State & Federal Firearm laws, in Old Forge on Tuesday, August 5 at the Town of Webb Park Avenue Office Building.
This meeting, that starts at 7 p.m., is open to the public and admission is free.
Attendees will learn how the NY SAFE Act affects every New York State firearm owner.
Many state residents are not aware of these provisions and the host of proposed new laws in the pipe line, according Patrick Morse, an event organizer.
This puts gun owners at risk of being charged as a criminal for unknowingly breaking these rules, he said.
The Park Avenue Building, formerly known as the CCD center, is located at 183 Park Ave.
