Inlet sets July 4th weekend events

Inlet’s Fourth of July celebration will begin at Fern Park with the annual Ping Pong Ball Drop at 1 p.m. This event brings hundreds of children up to age 12 to the park who will watch as Payne’s Air Service drops ping-pong balls onto the ball field from a seaplane.

The plane will make three separate drops for the different age groups.

The children will then trade their ping-pong balls in for prizes donated by local businesses.

Starting at 7:30 p.m. enjoy the music of The Fulton Chain Gang as they kick off Inlet’s “Sunsets by the Lake” Summer Concert Series.

For decades, The Fulton Chain Gang has entertained audiences throughout New York.

At dusk, Inlet will set off a spectacular display of fireworks with the best view being from Arrowhead Lakefront.
