The Charity Selection Committee of the annual Adirondack Bank Charity Golf Classic has announced the names of the organizations that will benefit from the proceeds of this year’s tournament that will be held at the Thendara Golf Club on Monday, June 23rd.
The not-for-profit organizations that will receive funds are: Camp Ronald McDonald for Special Children, Kelberman Autism Center at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, Home Aide Service of the Central Adiron-dacks (HASCA), Community Transportation Service (CTS), View, Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL), YWCA Camp Gorham, Town of Webb School Webb Way Program, and Old Forge Fire Department.
Adirondack Bank is celebrating its 20th year of hosting the Golf Classic which to date has raised over $600,000 for local and regional non-profits.
Organizers are seeking hole and sand trap sponsors, tournament patrons, as well as participants. Entry forms are available locally at Adirondack Bank. Deadline for entry is Tuesday, June 10th.
There will be two flights the day of the event, one at 8 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m. Flights will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Lunch, cocktails and dinner will be provided by The Grill Room.
According to Joanie Grande, coordinator of the tournament, Peter Fay of Adirondack Mountain Sports has generously donated a 90cc Arctic Cat four-wheeler as a raffle prize.
