Senior Jodi Bolton has lived in Old Forge her whole life. Two of her sisters have already graduated from Town of Webb School and following is her brother, now in 6th grade.
She has selected Mohawk Valley Community for her studies after graduation.
Bolton has a strong interest in art and has taken art classes her whole high school career. The current school year had her venturing into digital photography. For the time being though, she is keeping her options open and planning to decide later on a major.
She has enjoyed her classes with Mr. Cun-ning-ham and Mr. Kinney, and said they are great teachers who make you want to learn. “They genuinely care,” she said.
Bolton played basketball in 7th through 11th grades, and said it was a lot of fun when the team went to sectionals last year. She also played soccer through 10th grade. She enjoyed playing, describing it as a pretty serious sport.
She also played the flute in band from 4th grade through 11th.
She said she has a special appreciation for her senior classmates. “We’re not afraid to be who we are—it’s a pretty close knit class, even when there are disagreements, we always pull together and stay close,” she said.
In commenting on the community she said, “This is a nice place when you are younger or older, but you have to leave at some point because it’s such a small town. I want to know what’s out there in the ‘real’ world.”
