MAC’s Safe Ride will host a Driver’s Safety Course at the Old Forge Fire Department on Saturday, May 31st from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The day-long event is open to the public and offers a great opportunity for motorists to refresh and improve their skills and driving habits.
Other benefits include auto insurance discounts and up to a four-point reduction on your license. Refresh-ments will not be provided, but there will be a short lunch break.
The cost is $25 per person, however, MAC’s Safe Ride will cover the fee for any individual who volunteers to drive or navigate three or more times during the summer months. An updated volunteer calendar can be viewed at www.macssaferide.com under the volunteer heading.
Anyone who would like to attend free can contact Monique Masters at (315) 369-5255 to schedule days to volunteer and register for the class. Others may send checks payable to MAC’s Safe Ride, P.O. Box 888, Old Forge, NY 13420. Include name, address, and phone number. Pre-registration is encouraged. Please have your driver’s license available.
