Community Pride Day: Organizers finalize May 7 clean-up activities

All Central Adirondack residents are reminded that Wednesday, May 7th is Community Pride Day. All volunteers are being asked to check in and sign up early for a section of roadway and reserve a shirt size.

By signing up, this ensures all roads get the attention needed to be ready for summer. Signing up early also lets us know how many people to expect for lunch.

Every volunteer who shows up on May 7th will receive a free shirt and a free lunch.

On May 7th you can check in anytime after 9 a.m. at the following locations to pick up your shirt, trash bags and rubber gloves (work gloves recommended, but not supplied), and also to find out when and where to show up for lunch.

To sign up early in Inlet or Eagle Bay contact the Inlet Information Office at (315) 357-5501; in Old Forge or Thendara – Town of Webb Visitor Center at (315) 369-6983; in Long Lake or Raquette Lake – Long Lake Parks & Tourism at (518) 624-3077; in Indian Lake or Blue Mountain Lake – Indian Lake Town Hall at (518) 648-5828; in Speculator/Arietta/Morehouse – Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce at (518) 548-4521.
