It will be a busy upcoming weekend at McCauley Mountain with the Snow-maker’s Ball on Saturday, March 29 and the Spring Fling on Sunday, March 30th.
The Snowmaker’s Ball, an annual event that benefits the Kinderwood Preschool Program, begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes a buffet, music by Colin Clark and a cash bar.
Tickets for the casual gathering are $20 per person and available at the door.
The Kinderwood board will also be launching a new fundraising effort during the event: a raffle for an 18’ Bennington pontoon boat with 50hp Evinrude. Tickets are $50 each and will be available for purchase during the event.
More details will follow, however anyone who has any questions can contact Sharon Finkle-Kleps at (315) 369-8919.
The Spring Fling will feature the North East Pond Skimming Tournament at 2 p.m.
Registration is available prior to the event with after-awards expenses being directed to the McCauley Mountain Ski Patrol.
Relay races, live music by Doug Green, and a pasta buffet will begin at 4 p.m.
Proceeds from the buffet will benefit MAC’s Safe Ride and the Kirsty Sutherland Scholarship Fund. Waiter/waitress races start at 5 p.m.
McCauley will close for the season on Sunday, April 6, but until then skiers can enjoy the cross-country ski trails free of charge.
Also, if you purchase your ski pass for the 2014/2015 season, you can ski the remainder of the season for free.
