Kindergarten, first and second grade teachers and students at the Town of Webb School celebrated the 100th day of school on Wednesday, February 12 by dressing up as if they were 100 years old.
Aside from dressing as centenarians, the students engaged in a variety of writing assignments to express their ideas on what their lives might be like long into the future.
They shared their 100-day commemoration with the rest of the student body with a parade around the school.
Two days later the kindergarten class took a short field trip to Lakeside Terrace to share handmade Valentines and sing a few songs with the residents.
The class also showed off their reading skills by reading a book titled “Hearts” to the residents.
Prior to heading back to school, the students made a Valentine butterfly for the residents that would help them think about warmer days and the upcoming spring.
“The students did a great job of spreading smiles and love on Valentine’s Day,” said Hannah Payne, kindergarten teacher.
