McCauley Mountain opens its ski season on Dec. 14th

With the area receiving 22 inches of powdery snow in the last two days, McCauley Mountain Manager Steve Uzdavinis has announced that the mountain will begin its full winter season of operation on Saturday, December 14th.

Due to low temperatures that allowed for snowmaking conditions in November, the mountain has been open weekends since Friday, November 30—the earliest opening in 25 years.

Uzdavinis said the following trails will be open: Challenger, Skyride, Upper God’s Land, and Mity Mite, and tentatively Rambler, Sidewinder and possibly deCamp.

McCauley Mountain is open 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. It is closed Tuesdays, except for holiday weeks.
