The Inlet Historical Society has acquired a collection of wedding plates that once hung on the walls of the tavern area of the Holl’s Inn through a donation by Victor Holl.

From the early 1930’s, the owners of Holl’s Inn had a tradition of adorning the walls with commemorative plates inscribed with the date and names of those who held their  weddings or anniversaries at the establishment.

Inlet Historical Society members expressed gratitude to Victor Holl for saving the plates and offering them back to family members who wish to have them in their possession.

Anyone interested in claiming a plate can arrange for an appointment by contacting Historical Society representative Mitch Lee at (315) 357-5501 or email ltmitch3rdny@aol.com.

A donation to the organization is suggested in exchange for the plates.

“The new owners of the Holl’s Inn property are happy that Victor Holl made a gesture to save many items from the hotel’s collection so future generations can enjoy them at the Inlet Historical Society,” said Lee.
