Barbara Green of Adiron-dack Green House Bas-ketry in Old Forge will lead a basket weaving workshop at View on Saturday, September 21 from 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m.
During the workshop Green will offer step-by-step instruction to participants who will be able to weave their own baskets made from a combination of flat and round smoked and natural reed in a chase weave pattern.
Green originally learned the craft of basket weaving at a 2007 workshop offered at View. Since then she has been weaving regularly and has discovered a whole new dimension of design and creating.
This workshop is great for beginners or seasoned basket weavers.
Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Workshop fee is $50 for non-members or $45 for View members with a $23 materials fee.
