Zachary and Jordan Wiskow of Indian Trail, NC, members of the Manchester, NH-based Young Rescuers USA, are making their final preparations to participate at the International Rally of Young Rescuers and Firefighters on July 15 through 27th. The program is hosted by the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus,

The program is available to seven youths from the United States between the ages of 13 and 17.

Fourteen-year-old Zachary and Jordan, 12, and the rest of their team members will depart for Belarus from Logan National Airport on Sunday, July 14th.

While in Belarus the Young Rescuers learn and compete in basic life safety exercises, enjoy excursions to cultural, scenic, and historic sites and make lasting international friendships, all to the benefit of the U.S., said program founder and former U.S. Ambassador George Bruno.

“We are very proud of our Young Rescuers USA 2013 team. They have worked very hard for this international competition and will serve as great representatives of the USA in Belarus,” said David Tille, president of Young Rescuers USA of Concord, NH.

Zachary and Jordan are the grandsons of Marie and Bob Shue and Jim Tille of Old Forge.
